History[]
Named the world's first modern tank by historian Steven Zaloga, Renault FT was the first tank to include all the hallmarks of a modern armored combat vehicle: Fully rotating turret, good protection and speed, ability for the engine to operate at any terrain inclination, and of course the capability to cross trenches thanks to its distinctive tail.
