The York is a special weapon that is unique to Battlepacks in Battlefield 1. It is part a component in earning the codex.

The York is a variant to the special secondary pistol in the world of Battlefield 1, known as the M1911. This brown-beige skin can only be earned through Battlepacks, so it is relatively hard to earn. The York is important to completing the entire Codex, as there is a mission not referred to as anything. It reads:
"Get 5 kills with the 'M1911 Special(York).'" Though before earning this, one must get to level 10 in the pilot class.
