Standard timed fuze hand grenade with high damage.
The frag grenade seems familiar, because it is the iconic grenade of the German armies of the first half of the 20th century. The Model 24 Stielhandgranate was introduced into the German arsenal in 1915, with a distinctive high explosive metal head attached to a wooden handle containing the fuse assembly. The stick acted as a lever, allowing the grenade to be thrown further and increasing accuracy, as it limited its ability to roll. Perfect for clearing those pesky trenches.
As a side note, it is incorrect to call the M24 a frag grenade if it doesn't have the serrated Splitterring. Without it, the M24 wounds and kills through explosive power, rather than shrapnel, which is a characteristic of concussion grenades.
